After being made redundant one too many times in the tough Australian fashion industry, fashion designer Bianca saw a silver lining in the moment – freedom to design whatever she wanted. Armed with eleven years experience in designing women’s and kids clothing, swimwear, underwear, handbags and shoes for well known brands such as Bonds, Supre, Aztec Rose, Volcom and The Kidstore, it was time to embark on a fresh challenge.
With some final encouragement from her sister Pam, the other half behind the label, Liberty Lee was born. The name embodies the sister duo’s maiden name and the sense of liberty that comes from finding your own style.
Bianca currently lives by Sydney’s iconic Bondi Beach while Pam is based in Europe, an unplanned but fortuitous homage to Liberty Lee’s Bondi-Paris roots. The signature style is born from Bianca’s love of the laid-back Aussie beach lifestyle, feminine high street looks and the Parisian “It” girl style,
“I love the influence of surf, street culture, the casual confidence of Aussie women, but then bringing in that touch of subtle Parisian attitude, like the outfit has been thrown together because she has so many other things on her mind, yet walks out of the house looking effortless.”
Liberty Lee exists to make it possible to own classic, timeless wardrobe essentials that are affordable and able to be worn for more than just one season. Each piece is designed with the highest level of thought and produced in Bali, Indonesia with quality sourced materials.
